Blog post #4 (???) Twitter? Tweeting? How did that go? I haven't had that much experience with twitter before this class. I made an account briefly years ago but stopped using it because I kept overthinking it. What  I post? Is this funny? Is this interesting? But then I reunited with this beloved app and I'm back. I'm realizing how fun it is, to tweet whatever you want. I made a personal account so I don't have to put a filter on. For the class account, I have to primarily focus on educational content, but I know how to make things fun. I like searching for quirky memes or adding my own personal touch to things. I've been interacting with a few classmates I've seen active on twitter. Some of them like or comment on my posts, which is a mini confidence boost. Blog Post #7 Twitter? How's that been? Twitter has been a fun time, I'd say. I like how I get to be creative with my posts, and it's a somewhat informal setting. I get to find memes that match my tweets, come up with interesting hashtags, and overall learn how to use the site. Before this class, my experience with Twitter was limited. I just remembered a very old account from 2013 and I'm trying real hard not to cringe. Wow, what a different time. I didn't keep up with it because my excuse was always "I wouldn't know what to post." But now I'd say that it doesn't matter (it does but at the same time, it doesn't; just depends on your motives). The whole point is to speak your mind. For this class, I understand that it's supposed to revolve around education, but I still have creative freedom with it, to an extent. Blog post #3 ELA? FSA? What's with all the acronyms? For those who don't know, ELA stands for "English Language Arts Standards" and the idea behind it is to prepare students for life outside the classroom? Is it effective? Well, that depends on who you ask. There are standards in place for grades K-12, which each grade having its own set. They gradually become more complex, the older the student gets. There's more required of them. Taking a glance at the kindergarten standards (who doesn't love those kiddos?) we can see that they're expected to "explore a variety of digital tools," which is probably referring to something that's easier for their little curious minds to comprehend. They're expected to know how to paint on the paint app found on most computers, if not all of them. If I were a kindergarten teacher, would I be able to show students how to use these tools? I mean, I understand how to use the paint app. It isn't hard...
