About me
About me!
Background info-
I'm honestly figuring this life thing out. To keep it brief, I'm the oldest child (you know how that goes), my siblings all vary in ages and personalities, with the smallest one being eighteen years younger than me. Jesus is the king of my heart and the reason that I breathe. Oh! And another thing, I've always had a passion for writing. I grew up humbly, and faced many hardships. But none of that defines me now. Being optimistic is one of my key characteristics and I can turn any situation into something positive.
Prior experiences-
In education, the only technology I've had to use is what's been provided to me. Desktops at the computer lab, calculators with buttons that didn't work, or surviving the nightmare that is group projects (it's terrible when nobody wants to do their part - one time I had to write a research paper, designing the study, the “participants,” the variables with one other person because the rest of our group bailed. Let's just say it wasn't pleasant and I hardly slept).
Hopes and dreams-
To not only learn about different technologies and how to use them efficiently, but to take away the knowledge I’ll obtain and apply it to different areas of my professional life. I don’t plan on becoming a teacher (though I appreciate those who do), but I can still make the most out of this class.
Welcome to EME2040! It's totally fine that you don't plan to become a teacher. While many of the assignments will require you to create classroom materials, there will be many opportunities for you to pursue topics more relevant to you. I really appreciate that you are keeping an open mind about it!
ReplyDeleteBianca!! Love you girly, and I love that you are so bubbly and outspoken in your get to know you section:) I love how you make your personality shine through your writing (because it is so funny!!), and I really appreciate your formatting because I didn't even think to make headings and all of that. I'm really excited we get to be in a class together!!
ReplyDeleteClarissa! Imagine me sending all the heart-eyed emojis to you. You're the sweetest thing, seriously. You're insanely talented and I enjoy hearing you sing/play instruments every chance I get. Love you too, so happy we're in this together!
DeleteHey Bianca!! I really enjoyed reading your post! I can completely relate to just trying to figure this life thing out! I think everyone can relate to that. I love writing also!! Lets talk about it :) I totally feel you on the whole being stuck doing the majority of group work thing. That happens to me all the time!! I think its really cool that you are still taking this class even though you aren't planning on being a teacher! Its awesome to be open to learning new things and experiencing new people!
